RSSI Awarded NR Anglia Permanent Way Minor Works Framework
RSS Infrastructure (RSSI) is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious NR Anglia Permanent Way Minor Works framework contract.
Signalling and telecoms (S&T) covers the equipment that keeps trains safely apart and lets the railway communicate: signals, points, train detection such as track circuits and axle counters, interlockings, and the cables, location cases and equipment buildings that link them. Our full-time S&T workforce installs, tests and supports this equipment for Network Rail, depots and contractors across the UK.
We have extensive experience delivering SMTH works across all Network Rail routes. SMTH is Network Rail’s Signal Maintenance Testing Handbook (NR/L3/SIG/11231), which sets out how signalling is tested after maintenance, repair or renewal. Its G110 module covers the testing of larger works using signal maintenance testing techniques. Our team is fully equipped for these works, and we provide qualified Supervisors (G110 Author/Checker) from the planning stage through to completion.
Our signalling installation service covers all types of new works, including cable renewals, track circuit immunisation, four-foot works, new location cases (LOCs) and relocatable equipment buildings (REBs), Solid State Interlocking (SSI) wiring, and modifications to existing interlocking systems. We also install axle counters, for example at the DIRFT 3 rail freight depot.
Our staff are experienced with point operating equipment (POE), back drives and stretcher bars, supporting complete builds, factory inspections, and commissioning handovers.
