Trackwork was contracted to maintain the Eurostar Depot at Selhurst but required additional staff to cover sickness or leave. To help them meet their contractual obligations, RSS Infrastructure provided a technician to assist with maintenance on various equipment, including HVI tracks circuits, earth testing, signals, treadles, and points. This ensured that the signalling systems were operating correctly and met the required safety and reliability standards.
In addition, RSS Infrastructure supplied a point fitter for minor renewals on points, including timber renewal, half set of switch renewal, and stretcher bar renewal. This ensured that the points were functioning correctly and met the standards stipulated by Network Rail.
By supplying staff on an ad hoc basis, RSS Infrastructure was able to provide flexible staffing solutions that enabled Trackwork to complete maintenance on time and meet their contractual agreements. This ensured the safety and reliability of the Selhurst Eurostar Train Depot’s signalling systems.
