“Rail Projects were delighted to be able to assist Network Rail with this project, and our successful completion of the job under PCL conditions with an on-site audit is a testament to the hard work of the team, our expertise and our commitment to safety.”
Network Rail required the re-padding of 250 yards of track on both legs for their PAD Lichfield project but had delays due to other work commitments. RSSI was the Principal Contractor for the project, providing Possession planning, CPP, WPP, Task Briefs, AMP10 walkout, Handback, and safety-critical staff to complete the job within two nights on a project worth £30K.

This Rail Projects project required repadding 250 yards of track on both legs to address the excessive wear on the track. The client, Network Rail, could not complete the project due to other work commitments. RSS was appointed as the project’s principal contractor, meaning they had to run it from start to finish.
To complete the project, RSSI provided Possession planning, CPP, WPP, Task Briefs, AMP10 walkout, Handback, and safety-critical staff, including ES, COSS, Supervisor, STM, CRE, and CEM. The project was completed within two nights, and the project value was £30K.
One of the challenges was that this was RSSI’s first job under PCL conditions with an on-site audit. However, they successfully passed the audit without any non-conformances, demonstrating their expertise and commitment to safety.
Overall, RSSI completed a piece of work that the client could not complete due to their work commitments and completed it safely and efficiently, passing the PCL audit with flying colours.
