RSS Infrastructure is a leading provider of integrated infrastructure solutions for the construction, civils, and rail sectors. With a comprehensive range of integrated services, we are committed to providing high levels of customer service, quality, and safety to our clients.
Our History
RSS Infrastructure was incorporated on 13 June 2007 and has been owned by Auctus Management Group since 2012. In May 2018 we acquired Carillion Welding after the collapse of Carillion plc, saving 63 jobs and forming our Rail Welding division. Network Rail awarded us its Principal Contractor Licence in 2023, we launched our Managed Environments division in 2024, and in 2025 we were awarded Network Rail Anglia’s Permanent Way Minor Works framework.
Today, RSS Infrastructure supports clients through three divisions: Technical Services encompass Civils and Construction, Rail Operations, Signalling and Telecommunications (S&T), and Track Warning Services; Managed Environments include Arboriculture, Ecology Services, Industrial Rope Access (IRATA) and Vegetation Management; and Welding Services specialises in rail welding.

Sustained Focus on Health & Safety
We invest heavily in safety solutions and have developed robust processes to ensure workforce and trackside safety. Our efforts to continually improve safety have earned us several awards, including the ‘Safety and Security Excellence’ Award at the Rail Business Awards 2019.

We have received several awards and accreditations for our commitment to excellence, innovation, and safety. These include the Network Rail and Rail Media Awards and the Birmingham Post Business Awards. We hold the Disability Confident Leader status.
Armed Forces Covenant
We are proud to support the Armed Forces Covenant and have developed a training program, mentoring, and work experience program for the Armed Forces community. We have been recognised for our efforts with the Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award for the Employer Recognition Scheme.
Social Value
We are dedicated to creating social value through providing training and employment opportunities for people from all backgrounds. We partner with local charities and organisations to support individuals such as ex-military, ex-offenders, homeless people and those that have struggled in mainstream education.
