Auctus Management Group and RSS Infrastructure partnered with Comfort Cases UK and Birmingham Children’s Trust to bring comfort to children entering the foster care system. Together we packed 100 Comfort Cases filled with essential items, so that children have something of their own during a challenging time in their lives.

What we did
Sarah Scott, Head of HR at Auctus Management Group, was personally moved by the mission of Comfort Cases UK because of her experience as a parent of adopted children. Her daughter’s memory of wearing the same clothes for days before receiving new ones inspired her to take action.
Working with Comfort Cases UK and Birmingham Children’s Trust, our teams assembled 100 backpacks, each filled with essentials and small comforts: pyjamas, toiletries, books and cuddly toys. Sarah Jacoby and Sammi Myers from Comfort Cases UK, and Alex Hillman and Dawn Crookes from Birmingham Children’s Trust, joined our volunteers, including Jennifer Byrne, Leanda Waring, Audrey Harpur and Mike McLean, to make sure every backpack was packed with care.

- Increased awareness: employees and partners learned more about the challenges faced by looked-after children and how they can help.
