“Rail Projects supported us on our project. They upskilled staff, enabling us to finish on budget and on time. Training was comprehensive, supplying workers with the necessary skills to complete the works safely and to a high standard. Fatigue management was also ensured.”
Graham Talbot, Head of Vegetation Management, needed extra support on a Vegetation Management framework (De-veg) for a project in various locations in Wales. Rail Projects provided Strimmer Operatives who carried out De-Veg works around bridges. Due to the location of some sites, hotels were provided to ensure workers remained within fatigue guidelines.

The project involved delivering a Deveg framework that the Vegetation Management division had been awarded, but Graham’s team did not have enough manpower available at certain times to carry out all the necessary works. Rail Projects was able to provide trained personnel to fill this gap and ensure the project was completed on time and to a high standard.
The team of Strimmer Operatives were fully trained and able to carry out the
necessary works safely and efficiently.
Safety measures were put in place to reduce journey times and ensure the wellbeing of the workers, including providing hotels in remote locations to prevent fatigue.
Overall, Rail Projects was able to support and provide a solution that allowed Graham’s team to complete the project successfully. The high level of service provided was reflected in the satisfaction of the site manager.
