Supporting Cancer Research UK

Richard Toy, CEO of Auctus Management Group Ltd, took part in a remarkable team effort at Kings Norton Golf Club to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Alongside Captain Mark Davies and fellow golfers Steve Turrell, Neil Burden, John Brockbank and Murray Tonry, the group completed a 72-hole golf challenge in a single day, showing endurance, unity and commitment to a life-saving cause.

What we did

On Monday 30 June 2025, Richard Toy took on an extraordinary challenge to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Joined by Kings Norton Golf Club Captain Mark Davies and teammates Steve Turrell, Neil Burden, John Brockbank and Murray Tonry, the team completed 72 holes of golf in a single day.

In 30-degree heat, the golfers pushed through two consecutive 27-hole rounds followed by a final 18 holes. The challenge was more than physical; it was personal, as each member carried the shared purpose of supporting life-changing cancer research.

  • £1,370 raised (plus £325 Gift Aid): contributing directly to Cancer Research UK’s pioneering work.
  • Team recognition: highlighted the collective spirit and endurance of a close-knit team with a shared purpose.
