Our team created access points on both sides of the bridge. We installed track crossing points at the bridge entrance to allow heavy plant to cross the track when required. Our primary aim was to ensure safe access and improve productivity for the Taziker staff carrying out the bridge improvements in the area.
One of the challenges we faced was access to the site as it was very remote. After we installed the first access point, the installation team had the problem of how to reach the remaining RRAPS. Working together with Taziker, we were able to arrange an RRV to take the required materials to the site. Taziker completed the access road up to the boundary fence.
The team installed an additional four RRAPs at various points to further improve access. The successful completion allowed improved access to remote areas and gave more flexibility to working times and productivity.
We completed the project over 3x weekend shifts. The works were completed and delivered in line with the time and budgetary requirements. It was possible to provide the client with real-time insight into the inspection. RSS Infrastructure utilised a mobile application that provided the client with shift reports while on site. These reports also included visual evidence of the works. The images were uploaded into cloud storage for multiple users to gain access.
