Building Mental Health Charter Signed

Furthering their commitment to raising Mental Health issues awareness in the infrastructure sector, Auctus Management Group, and subsidiary businesses; RSS Infrastructure and INFRA Skills have signed the ‘Building Mental Health Charter’.

Building Mental Health’s goals are to encourage the industry to engage and embrace the mental health agenda, make best practice and information readily and wherever possible freely available, and ensure that the industry takes a huge leap forward to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, by getting the conversation started while educating as many as possible where and when to seek help.

Bill Hill, CEO of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity and one of the founder members of the Building Mental Health Programme commented:

“The Building Mental Health portal offers a framework of resources and guidance created by industry experts to provide a flexible and consistent approach for those looking to start and develop a positive mental health culture within their organisation. It also offers a ‘Five Step Plan To Better Mental Health’, as well as access to free resources including videos, a tool box talk and information about how to access mental health training”.

Russell Bradshaw, Group HSQE Manager added:

“We are delighted to be the newest member of the Building Mental Health Charter, every day we strive to remain an industry leader on Mental Health support, so this new collaboration will benefit both parties. The Group not only provides Mental Health First Aid England courses to internal and external personnel, but in 2019, we were one of the founding members of ‘A Dedicated Voice for Inclusive Collaboration by Everyone’ (A.D.V.I.C.E), a Health & Wellbeing scheme that works alongside many likeminded companies, to create advice streams on topical subjects for all workers in the rail/civils sectors”.
