Supporting Charities
As part of their commitment to sustainability and support for their community, RSS Infrastructure is a proud partner of the Royal British Legion – an apt match due to their Gold Member status in the Employer Recognition Scheme as part of the Armed Forces Covenant.
Team Auctus, comprised of staff from RSS Infrastructure, INFRA Skills, and Auctus Management Group, actively supports this charity by participating in two cycling events each year. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of many kind supporters, Team Auctus has raised almost £75,000 for the Royal British Legion since 2018.
The team raised £23,874 through the Pedal to Paris campaign in 2022, the centrepiece of their fundraising efforts for the charity. The Royal British Legion has been organising these long-distance bicycle rides for 25 years and ensures everything runs smoothly for participants.
The four-day ride takes cyclists through the beautiful countryside before finishing at the Arc de Triomphe. The Royal British Legion organises everything, including accommodation, bike transportation, and ride captains, so that participants can enjoy the ride and comradeship with fellow cyclists.
Richard Toy was recognised for his individual fundraising efforts and led the cyclists on the final stretch towards the Arc de Triomphe, wearing the yellow jersey.
The team encouraged other organisations to participate in the Pedal to Paris in 2023, an excellent opportunity to support a worthwhile cause, create unique memories, and make friends for life.
