SSOW Planner (Pontypridd, Wales)

Location: Pontypridd, Wales. We are currently recruiting for a SSOW planner for 4 week maternity cover with the potential to be extended.

What will I be doing?

The role will involve working as SSOW planner for a rail contractor to actively ensure high standards are attained and continuously improved to assist in the planning of rail projects through identifying and securing the required possessions and work site access.

Produce and check SSOW plans with appropriate planning, safety and performance measures applied. Book and confirm appropriate possession resources within timescales when required. Maintain accounts and detailed records of possession arrangements. Ensure that all resources hold appropriate qualifications and licences for the activities carried out. Responsibility for compliance with appropriate legislation and standards.

What experience would we like you to have:

• Planning experience in an operational rail environment with valid PTS and SSOWP competency.
• Understand the process for planning Safe Systems of Work in accordance with NR/L2/OHS/019, Safety of People Working On or Near the Line
• A proven track record of preparing all associated SSOW plans
• E-Pic Knowledge
• Experience creating packs with a high attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
