    Fencing Installation Team Leader for a permanent position in our Construction and Civils Division. Based in Birmingham/West Midlands. Competitive salary and benefits package.

    What will I be doing?

    As the Team Leader, your role will be to take responsibility for the overall delivery and site work quality. You will ensure that safety is maintained at a high level and that the site organisation, including labour, material and plant, are managed effectively. Whilst liaising with the client on-site, you will provide excellent communication and customer service standards and ensure a professional working relationship is maintained.

    On a day-to-day basis, your duties will include:

    • Receiving and carrying out instructions from the supervisor relating to the work programme
    • Ensure all mechanical equipment, machinery and hand tools are used safely and correctly and maintained in good working order
    • Directing and managing a team of fencing installation operatives
    • Ensure that work is carried out effectively, to a high standard and delivered on time
    • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed correctly and on time
    • Ensure all duties are carried out following the H&S at Work Act
    • Ensure that all staff receive training and mentoring to deliver works to a high standard
    • Where required, attend training as directed by the company
    • Undertake all duties as directed by the supervisor and RSSI management team

    What experience would we like you to have?

    The successful candidate must hold a current CSCS and SSSTS qualification. Level 3 Fencing Installation is desirable but not essential.

    Experience in site delivery requirements and a proven track record of successfully managing site delivery worker teams. Interfacing with staff across all departments at all levels and capable of prioritising and coordinating resources, plant and labour to ensure the successful delivery of the works.

    Applicants should also hold a full UK driving licence.

    What are the hours of work?

    You will be required to work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Hours of work will vary depending upon the time of year. During the summer months, the hours will be from 0730 until 1730. During the winter months, hours of work will be 0800 to 1630.
