RSS Infrastructure’s Civils & Construction Division installed new metal palisade fencing and gates at Iver Station, Taplow Station and Langley Stations. The scope included the removal and reinstatement of existing fencing followed by the supply and install of new fencing at all three locations. The fencing was galvanised and powder coated to match the existing fencing. The new fencing is manufactured to the highest standards and offers excellent value for money and is highly effective as security fencing. The inherent strength and high damage resistance make palisade fencing one of the best choices for perimeter protection.

Consideration was given to the location of existing and new signage that was sited either on or near to the fencings and this was installed as agreed with the client.

Further to the installation of palisade fencing, RSS Infrastructure installed new fatality prevention fencing across all three locations. RSS Infrastructure worked with the client to advise on the strategic placement of the fencing between platforms to ensure complete protection for the public. 

The fencing consisted of a vertical bar railing system and finished with paint to suit each platform as per the clients’ request.

Upon completion of the fencing, the hard surfaces were reinstated accordingly. During the delivery of the works, RSS Infrastructure set up pedestrian management barriers for the protection of the public when working on active platforms. This also allowed RSS Infrastructure to work collaboratively with other contractors in a safe and controlled manner. All staff members were given public interface training to ensure the highest level of service is provided not only to the client but to the public as well. The fencing installation was completed over 28 weeks and delivered in line with the time and budgetary requirements.

We provided the client with real-time insight via a mobile app that provided shift reports while on site. These reports also included visual evidence of the works. The images were uploaded into cloud storage for multiple users to gain access.
